As you can see from the extensive preparation that goes into the winning of a mission-critical bid or other form of pursuit, adequate lead times are key to victory.


In too many instances, however, first-time clients seeking my services under-estimate the required lead time for a quality production.


In other instances, organisations that have not yet worked with me might, for example, seek to cut short (or worse, still, cut out) one or more vital phases of this preparatory process.

Bid-Specific Curricula Vitae


Central to victory with many highly competitive and complex submissions nowadays, is the strategic planning and careful formulation of bid-specific Curricula Vitae.


Civil engineering project bids are a classic example. The project team’s CVs must (a) identify, draw out, and clearly align the CV owner’s strengths, skills and background with the project’s requirements and challenges, and also (b) both individually and collectively, reflect the overarching bid strategy.


If this applies to your industry, you’ve likely employed one of two methods to produce these in the past (or tried both):


  • You’ve hired a generalist writer – or even a “tender writer” – and been completely underwhelmed with the results, and/or


  • You’ve dug out the CVs from past bids and cut, pasted, edited, re-edited a few times, had multiple inputs from the CV owner and various other sources . . . and ended up with a marginally acceptable, supposedly “customised” output.

Bespoke Training Programs


After taking the time to determine the level of your team’s proficiency in the key areas of bid strategy and writing– both individually and collectively – I formulate a dedicated, bespoke training program to meet them “where they’re at”.  I both produce and deliver this training personally.


It can be delivered by teleconference, by means such as Zoom, or in some instances, in an intense, in-person series of multi-day workshops.
